All Dad

Heard in the parking lot at Trader Joe’s:

Jamie – Mentally dividing his strip of TJ’s stickers between himself, MD, and me. “That’s 3 for me and two for each of you!”

MD – “You realize he just did subtraction/division, right?”

Me – “And he’s been doing simple addition since he was 2 1/2. He’s probably gonna be kinda good at math.” (I know he’s not a genius, but he does have a knack for the numbers.)

MD – Pride.

Me – “You realize that means YOU are going to be helping him with his homework, right?”

MD – “…right.”

    Heh. He’s “your son!” 🙂 I could try and help with math but I never made it past pre-calc.
