Still waters

Jamie was getting a very stern talking to about running around in the parking lot the other day when out of the blue he asked, “Was Great-grandma O running around in a parking lot and got hit by a car and that is why she died?” Ok, first, I will admit that I giggled at the thought of my 88 year old grandmother with water-swollen ankles running around the parking lot, but my second reaction was shock. Jamie hasn’t mentioned her since a week or two after the funeral. And what he said next made me want to curl up and cry. “But she was my friend and I never wanted her to die!”

Yeah.

Oh wow. *Hugs* Plus you get props for not saying “of course! now stop running in the parking lot!” 🙂

Yes children have the best response to a natural occurrence. They speak truth all the time, why do we let go of this tendency to speak truth?

I am certain if he wanted to have his friend with him, all he has to do is ask and she will come, in some form to play. Life returns….
