BTRS: Doorway Puppet Theatre

Wow, I’m really behind on my blogging. This project was done right before our Labor Day trip to Nashville, and was our birthday present to our niece M.

It’s described in the book as an easy project, and really it is, if you’re good at drawing, cutting, and sewing straight lines. Honestly, I had to stretch it over several evenings because my ability in those areas is limited – severely limited, as evidenced by the fact that the curtains and ribbons are uneven. However, it was my first experience with bias tape and ball fringe and those parts went smoothly – go figure.

I’m sad that I ironed it in Nashville and then an hour in the carrying case wrinkled it right back up. But in its favor it works equally well for puppet shows…

….and dinosaur fights. Perfect for a boy/girl household.

Where did you find this pattern? I just have a torn put page from the airplane catalog that I was going to improvise.
