Stinker

“I don’t listen Mommy!”

No, when you jump out of the car and sprint three houses away before I can catch up with you, that’s definitely not listening.

“I don’t cop-perate Mommy!”

Dawdling on the toilet for a half hour to delay bedtime, nuh-uh, not cooperating.

“I have am-mal pjs Mommy!”

Sigh. Thank god you’re cute.

It almost makes up for the “Hey! Mom! I talk now! You DON’T talk!” I heard all. the. damn. way. home.

Oh, man, I know. It’s not the defiance that kills me, its the cheerful defiance. It’s maddening. But you’re right, those are very cute PJ’s.

Those are super cute PJs. Jack often tells me “SHHHH! No talking, Mommy” and then proceeds to jabber away. He just means that I can’t talk, not him. Or sing in the car. Or dance in the car. He really, really hates that. So I do it as often as possible. šŸ™‚

    LOL!

What really kills me is when I hear “You put on your seatbelt RIGHT NOW! RIGHT NOW, MOMMY!” And the constant attempts to negotiate everything I say. Urgh.
